Where are we?

We are staying in a hostel. It is located in Panama City.

What have we been doing?

Taking a 16 hr bus ride to Panama City, getting in contact with our ministry opportunities, experiencing the city and praying for the people.

What are we doing?

Tomorrow some of us are going to a prison to preform a drama, sing, and share with the prisoners. After we will be spending some time with the pastor and the church that usually does this ministry.

For the weekend Kari and I will be joining team less. We will be helping with a youth camp for children at risk ages 14 to 18. Then our team will be moving into an orphanage on Monday. We will be doing a variety of things in the morning, aids clinics etc. and in the afternoons we will be spending time helping in any way and playing with the children at the orphanage.

Rainforest Rhapsody

A recap of our time in Costa Rica, thanks to my beautiful, amazing squadmate, Cameron:

Our first four days were spent in Bambu, living at a YWAM base and helping with construction projects in the area. Each day was different, but the most remarkable day was the day we helped load bags of cement and supplies into US Army helicopters for the building of a bridge which would bring medical access to a remote village. We worked alongside Costa Ricans, Peace Corps workers, American missionaries, and men (and one woman) of the US Army. (unfortunately the US Army wouldn't allow a Canadian, or other civilians, in the helicopters without government permission. Darn.)

Our next three days were spent in Margarita, where we ministered to Pastor Wilbert and his family by gathering gourds ("The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few") and participating in nightly church services. Pastor Wilbert has a huge heart for the people of his village, and though we had no translator and could only communicate through broken Spanish and his broken English, we were blessed to meet him and be a part of his life for a few days.

The last four days of our trip we spent in Manzanillo, a beach town with a high tourist population and Pastor Jose, from Panama. Pastor Jose's family lives in Panama, where he has lived for most of his life and planted many churches, and he has lived the past two years alone in Manzanillo building up the town's sole church. We lived with Pastor Jose and helped him with the construction of a children's building, and were blessed by rest on the beach and a hike through the rainforest (see Cam's virtual video rainforest tour below!).

Moving South...Please Pray

I am a few minutes away from leaving San Jose to head south, to an indigenous reservation near Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. Eight of us will head down together to help build a new home for a family, begin work on a children's area at a church, dig a well, and whatever other work or teaching is needed. A few of us will also go from there into Panama to begin set up and make ministry contacts for later this summer. I am so excited to have this opportunity to live among the Costa Ricans, to love on them and learn from them!

Please be in prayer for Aaron, Brandon, Cameron, Christie, Jackie, Krystle, Lindsey and me as well as for the people we will meet over these next 11 days!

She's more than OK

I'm volunteering to write a blog for my sister. It's not that she doesn't think or pray for people back home. She hasn't been sitting around doing nothing the past few months. And what God's been taking her through is nothing less than amazing. Her gifting just isn't writing so as the Body it's my privilege to share with you some of her stories.

Jenn has one of the biggest hearts for God's people I think I've ever been near. She has His spirit for each unique culture we've been a part of. In China she eagerly bought a Tibetan coat, scarf, and hat to blend in with the people we were around. She was a jolly and warm Jesus walking the streets using broken Mandarin to meet the people. Within the first couple of days we were in Africa she had already made good friends that were willing to sit for six hours to braid her hair. From the neck up Jenn was Black-African. It allowed her to engage in conversations with many women as we traveled about the complexities and beauty of hair. Right now she's looking for a festive Latin American dress - something bright and flowing that she could dance in. Something warm and graceful that would reflect the women in this culture.

This apostolic nature - and by that I mean a vigorous passion for the nations to know Christ - has, sorry for being blunt, saved our team's butt more than once. The courage inside Jenn's heart has also grown over the past months allowing this passion to be communicated to us. This nature brings a willingness and responsibility to share with us the news of where God's heart may be for a certain people group. During her times of intercession - deep prayer - God speaks to her about His people, His most precious creation. And when Jenn shares this with our team we get a glimpse of how in love He really is. It's refocused us some times and awakened us into action. It also gets the focus off of us. For we fail and stumble more times when we try to do it by ourselves. Yet it is God who is in love with His people and He chooses us to love that way too. By His grace we get to work together in this.

More than once Jenn has suffered for God's people. And in her delicately compassionate way everyday she humbles herself to suffer more for the cause of Christ. In her prayers and actions Jenn allows the Spirit to break her heart for the people. She wants to not only know their pains and sufferings but to feel them as well. She is deeply serious when she lays herself down to be used and beaten and misunderstood only because that is what Christ is asking of her some days. Some days she even asks for more.

Why would anyone want to hurt for people they don't even know? Because it's what Christ did for us when He knew our sins. Because it's how He wants us to love His people. Because it is the attitude Jesus had. Because that is the beginning of how we're going to bring Kingdom to earth - to love the widow and the orphan and the rejected. To understand their pain and walk with them in it. To become slaves to God's mission. To serve and love until it hurts and then some.

Jenn hurts for people in a very real way in order to reveal Christ more alive in herself. Believe me, I know. There have been too many times to count during these past months that Jenn has listened to me complain when she could have been worried about her own business. She has prayed for me when she could have been serving someone else. She has held my hurts because she saw the importance of sharing each others burdens. She has laughed and walked with me because see understands the joy and benefits of living this life together.

Jenn Fancy, thank you for loving me. Thank you for loving the nations. Thank you for motivating me to love more simply by your sweet example. You are a huge blessing and encouragement to my everyday. So don't worry too much that you haven't blogged in over five months...just keep doing your thing!

A Day of Impact by Jeanette Wheeler

is a blog written by one of my team members (Jeanette Wheeler). I wanted to ask you to participate and express our love for the men of all ages and generations

A couple of weeks ago I was fasting and the Lord clearly asked me to pray and fast again.

"Pray and fast for the men of all ages and generations"

Within those few brief moments God revealed to me a real burden, concern, respect and love for my brothers in Christ.

The whole vision then began to unfoldA call for all women of all ages and from all generations to rally together for a day of fasting, repentance and interceding for the boys and men in our lives, in others' lives, and in the world. Men are created to be Godly strongholds, pillars and towers for their families and for future generations around the world. Some men today walk boldly in this call on their lives. Others need to learn how to do this; they are capable - they just need encouragement and empowerment.

The Lord showed me that for far too long, men have received attacks - on their character, on their intentions, on their actions or lack thereof. Then the Lord shared with me how we as women can positively influence this to make change. We are to enter into their world with encouraging, uplifting and interceding words and actions.

Beyond prayer, I was asked to repent (ask forgiveness) on behalf of how I and generations of women have thought about, disrespected and treated men in our lives. Any thought, frustration, attitude and word that wasn't uplifting or edifying to them I was to ask forgiveness for. As the first step I asked forgiveness from the men of the September 07 and January 08 squad. This time brought encouraging verbal affirmation on the impact that this call of obedience is going to bring.

Along with interceding and repentance, fasting was the last part of the process. I believe that fasting brings the cry of one's heart to a closer intimacy and urgency to the Lord. It can be a fast of food, things, events, etc.

The day that was chosen is Wednesday, April 30^ththe last day in April.

Join me for a day of impact: impacting men's' lives, our lives and therefore the world!!!

The vision that the Lord showed me was that this needs to spread like wild fire. The more women that are prayingthe greater the intercedingthe greater the changethe greater the impact. Please join us on this day. Send this message to women all over the worldeven send them this blog.

I believe that God is calling thousands of women to participate on this day!

A few things that are laid on my heart for us to intercede for our brothers about:

-Godly men to come along side each other - covenant brothers that will love, challenge, and uplift and hold each other accountable.

-Direction in the calling the Lord has put on their lives and to rise out of a life of discouragement and confusion.

-For a life that rejects passivity and abounds in courage, strength and power.

-That they would be men who pursue the woman God has chosen for each of them (if called to marriage) and that they would then lay down their life as Christ laid down His.

-Vision, obedience, encouragement and power to step into spiritual leadership of their family.

As this day comes nearer my prayer is that God will reveal to each woman what this day looks likefor things to pray for, repent for and fast of.

The call of obedience for this day is so strong. I can't wait to see the change that this is going to make! Thank you for joining me in uplifting the men that are currently impacting and will continue to impact our lives.

This month has been full of the Lord's presences. I have experienced God working through me in powerful ways. I am forever being changed for His glory. Thank you for praying and encouraging me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A couple of Christmas stories from this month...

I went to an all women's bible study. There were over 20 women there who were all seeking the Lord. I have been trusting God, and walking by faith, and He has been doing what He needs to do and I get to watch Him do it. not knowing what to share beforehand, scriptures just poured out of me. while spending some time in prayer, the Lord gave me a broken heart; I had no idea what it was from, it had nothing to do with me. So I asked of the women, 'does anyone have a broken heart'? After translation, almost all the women made it known that they had a broken heart. There were lots of tears and the Lord touched and healed hearts. He showed me one girl in particular and made it clear to me that He wanted me to give her a hug. I went to hug her and she held on and wept in my arms. God is giving me His heart for His people. She went on thanking me and thanking me. All I could say to her was, 'it's not me, it's God. He loves you and has you in His arms'. I have seen her twice since then and she is full of joy and so happy that the Lord is wiping her tears away and giving her Joy.

I went and visited a man named Elmer. I walked into a small wooden home, not knowing what I was walking into. I was with two people from a church going door to door, sharing about God's love-building relationships and loving my brothers and sisters whether they knew it or not. Elmer's situation literally brought me to my knees - he seemed on death's door with cancer. The love of God took over my heart and swept over Elmer. We spent time together with the Lord in His presence. God brought words back to his lips and refreshed his spirit. After that visit he wanted more of God, and I came to visit him again. he wanted me to read the Bible to him, to sing worship songs, and pray together this same day he sat up in bed, did a little dance, and even stood on his feet. The doctors had told Elmer just days before that he would die soon, unless a miracle happened. The Lord gave him strength in his weakness. God really showed me His life in Elmer, that among the flesh and bones he was wrapped in, that were failing him, Jesus would never fail him; Elmer believed it. God's breath was keeping him going and that was it. Elmer is holding on to Jesus and I pray that God will keep Elmer close to Him all the days of his life. Never let go dear friend. Please join me in prayer for Elmer and his family - his mother, wife and two teenaged children.

A couple of thoughts from the past three months...

I have been thinking, 'when am I going to wake up and realize I am living in another world'?. But the reality is I am waking up to another world, the Kingdom of God. Sometimes I think to myself..Where am I?... Is this really me, cause it sure does not look like me... So many times I have been amazed to see God at work in my weakness, in my helplessness, in the depths of my heart, and in different parts of the world. I was thinking about this, it's not that God all of a sudden showed up and started working. He opened my eyes and my ears, I expect to see Him everywhere I go, in all that I do, in every word that I speak and the way I react. It is Him loving me, living in me, and by His grace I see glimpses of His glory. Not because I deserve it, prayed enough, or followed all the right rules. He knows my heart and He knows yours too. During this Christmas, I want to encourage all of you to let the Lord love you, take heart for He has overcome the world. Believe it-really, and live. Spend it in the presence of the Lord. And know that this is the greatest gift of all. All for His glory!

Love you all and am praying that you will have a Christmas that is more than just another great time,

and that it is full of the Lord's love and grace.

Scattered Seeds

For as the soil makes the sprout come up

Jesus replied, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life."

John 12 23-25

The month of November went by so fast. I cannot believe it has been so long since I have posted a blog. God is at work here in the Philippines. We have been witnesses to some great fruit. As well as scattering seeds among the people.

Who am I with?

There are ten of us this month. Kari, Renee and I are working with Seven-Eleven. Most of the days we are all going in different directions. From construction sites to working with Pastors and everything in between.

Where are we staying?

We are in Dumaguete City, Philippines! We are staying with a couple that teaches at the Bible College in town. They have been such a blessing. Sherry and Lloyd have been missionaries here in the Philippines for four years. They have the gift of hospitality. I have felt completely at home. It is a joy to have their support and encouragement with ministry, cooking, cultural information and fellowship.

What are some happenings during the day?

I spent a couple of days with an ICM(International Care Ministries) worker named Annie. She is an amazing woman of God who is in charge of the three preschools that ICM funds and partners with the local churches. She also lives at the ICM orphanage. She is not only busy aiding the preschool teachers, she is also helping start seven more preschools that will open this summer in other surrounding churches. I had received an opportunity of going with her to visit the preschools and orphanages. We have become good friends and I am so thankful for her encouragement. We visited a church the same day and shared what the Lord put on my heart and two people shared with the church for the first time what God was doing in their life. During a time of prayer God healed a woman's crippled leg! Praise God.

International Care Ministry- Where there was 7 churches competing by singing two songs. Cam, Sarah and I judged-giving a first, second and third place.

I have been going to another orphanage that is not through ICM it was started by several churches coming together seeing a need. It is called Rainbow Orphanage - we took the babies to the doctor and spent time with the toddlers.

I spent some days going with Pastor Attos and some members from his church on outreaches to the local community. The first time we went out two ladies from the church took me to visit a man named Elmer who was dying of cancer - watch for the next blog about his healing! - I also got an opportunity to share my story and hear a couple of other women's stories. It has been incredible seeing God break down walls and heal the sick!

As well as, construction sites, worship services, medical outreaches, feeding programs, teaching a seminar, visiting Pastors and speaking in front of churches.

What have I been up to in the evenings?

Renee, Cam and I went to a worship concert. It was called One Desire. A bunch of churches gathered together and put on a huge worship, sermon, prayer and fellowship time in this gigantic arena - next week four others and I will be performing a Drime here in front of approx 5,000 people - so I have been practicing for that! nervous-a bit!!! It was four hours of amazing worship and I was floored by the hunger and desire that the body of believers in the Philippines demonstrated to God. God moved in a powerful way that night. Words cannot describe it!

I went with Lloyd (Lo Lo) and Brandon to a College Bible study. Again it was exactly where I was suppose to be.

We have a gathering most nights checking in with each other and going over the next day who is going where.

Cooking meals some nights and cleaning up after some other nights.

Hanging out with Jesus and teammates.

Days of rest?

We have one day of rest a week. We were able to go to Apo Island and go snorkeling. Lloyd and Sherry came with us, it was a blast. We were also able to go to the sand bar and walk in the middle of the ocean! We met some locals there and they fed us snails and fish. God's creation is incredible. During this time I met locals and tourist and had some great conversations.

Wrapped Up

After a long long bus ride from Cambodia, we arrived back in Bangkok! We are due to fly to the Philippines. We have been told our ministry sites. We will be working with International Care Ministries (ICM). They have feeding and medical programs, children's programs, as well as, church empowerment programs that we will get a change to serve in. For more information, go to ICM.

"FOLLOW ME" Part One

Jesus says, "Follow me."

yet I can be quick to come up with a reason not too. What if.. this... or that.... is not taken care of. John 1:43, Luke 9:57-62

And can easily justify my reasoning for not being obedient. Luke 10:29

"Christ's call to simplicity and sacrifice was an act of mercy, of liberation. His admonition to the rich, young ruler to sell everything and come follow him wasn't a punishment, but an invitation into a deeper reality, a chance to be free and experience the profundity of life. Wow does that ring very true to me and why does it suprise me? He is the faithful one.

His word is absolute truth.

Too much of my life has been spent not listening to the Lord calling to me. Walking in disobedience half the time not even knowing it.

I heard His voice and He said, "Follow me." the first time I really heard it, I questioned after....... Are you sure Lord? me.. You love me? You made me? Really?maybe I didnt hear it right? I' ll wait till I hear you say exactly what? where? when? and how?, then I will 'figure it out. The enemy loves to destroy our relationship with the Lord. It all started in Genesis 3:1-24 "Did God really say.... ???" Said the serpant.

REALLY...! The Lord replies, "Follow me" this is the only way to live. Imagine you were stuck in a fire and a firefighter breaks through the flames, He knows the way out, Wouldn't you jump into their arms? Would you try to find your own way out? probably at first until you realized that the flames surround you and there is no other way.

The Lord has victory over the grave, He lives and is saying "Follow me" I know the way out. Jesus knows the way. He is the way........... you still have to go through the burning building to get out.

I am reading a book called The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in the book it says...Believing is obedience and obedience is believing."

"In my walk, I find the Lord constantly saying to me: "Am I worth it... still?"
Every time he asks this question, something that I think I need or is "just part of who I am" gets stripped away. I've experienced great joy because of Christ in my life, but I've also seen persecution and pain. I've had to face lies and accusation. I've had to endure many a hardship. And every step of the way, he asks me like he did the Twelve in John 6, "Are you with me, even now?" It's merciful that he still asks and never demands. What beauty. So here I am, in the middle of Cambodia, just came into town to use the computer and share with you a little bit of what the Lord is up to in my heart. He called me, He calls all people, I guess its a choice whether or not you will follow, but when you know His love, how can you resist? God has won me over with His love and I am forever thankful. In my life in the here and now I have seen my self be more and more obedient to the Lord because He is showing and teaching me to have faith and trust Him with everything. He is answering prayer after prayer, more details in part 2. My heart is not my own heart anymore and my understanding I am not able to lean on anymore. He has swept me away by His love. Giving me glimpses of His heart and pieces of His thoughts.

This is the story of God in the life of Wuut. We got to know him while we were in Thailand. He is full of Jesus and one of the many YWAM people who taught us about Thai culture and so much more. Thank you Wuut and all you wounderful brothers and sisters in Christ all over Thailand. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Praise God!

"My name is Wuttichai Jaisuasu , or Wuut. I am 24 years old. I was born in a Buddhist family. I have one brother and one sister. Born in Buddhist religion I felt like temple is my second home. When I grew up to be a teenager I started to drink and smoke just to make other people see that I was cool and to be accepted by friends. Later I worked in a mall and earned 10,000 bath ($260) a month. At that time I thought it was a lot money. I thought when I had money I could buy anything. After that I started to get involve with girls, gambling and did bad things. I was satisfy living this kind of life. I thought this is the happiness wanted. So I started to gamble more, drink and smoke more I was involve with relationship with a girl, but I did not know that she already has a boy friend. He brought his friends and beat me up. After this happen I was very depressed. I left my job. My friends started to abandon me and the pleasure I enjoyed with my friends was gone. The love I had with girlfriend was lost. After that I became a person has no purpose and hope in life.

When I got to know someone from BJD (House Of One Heart Ministry)and I decided to moved there and lived with them. I discovered God and found the fulfillment that I was looking for. I found joyful, love and peaceful. God became every thing I needed. It made me desire to know Him more. I was thinking are there anyways that I able to know God more personally. So eight months after I became a Christian I got the answer that a Discipleship Training School (DTS)was a place for me to seek God seriously. When I sent my application to Chiang Mai I had no support or any helps. The money 40,000 bath for DTS fees and personally was a real challenge of Faith for me as a new believer. I started to worry. At the same time I started to pray for about 2-3 months.

I believed if this the will of God and even though I had no money I would be able to go by Faith. On the evening before I was to leave to go to my DTS. God miraculously provided exactly the amount of money. God is very Faithful.

In DTS it was a special time that God provided for me. Every things was new for me. I got to learned more about the Father heart of God, Character of God, God's voice, God's calling and had more closer relationship with Him. Even in the outreach, flew on the airplane was my first time and all were new experience for me.

God's Call On My Life
During my time in DTS God spoke to me through His words in the Bible. Such as Ezekiel 13: 4-5 it said " You like a jackal among ruins " This is what Christians are doing in a broken society. We all have received a called to lift up our social and repair it through prayer and spiritual warfare.

Right now I serve God as a YWAM full-time staff in the Outreach Team Department Ministry. My job is to help the teams for their outreach. We are bringing the Gospel to many different places in Thailand through helping and serving in community, teaching English, activities and do any things that we can do just to bring the good news to people. I have been involved in all the thing to lift up and repair the Kingdom of God.

Ways that you can be praying for me:

Please pray that I will come to know God more personally.
Please pray for salvation that would come to my family.
Please pray for my ministry and the area I have involved to built God's Kingdom.

Darkness...HOPE

A brief look into Cambodian History.........Cambodia had been at war from 1970 until 1998, so they are still currently in a state of restoration and new beginnings. Their dark history is tied up in the Khmer Rouge which is remembered mainly for the deaths of 3 million people under its regime, through execution, starvation, illness, and forced labor. Following their leader Pol Pot, the Khmer Rouge imposed an extreme form of communism in order to create a classless society in Cambodian. They did this by evacuating the cities, killing the educated citizens and forcing the rest to become farmers. It was one of the most lethal regimes of the 20th century. One of their mottos was: "To keep you is no benefit. To destroy you is no loss." (This info and more about it can be found here: Khmer Rouge)

"Our friend and translator here in Cambodia, KimSan, knows all too well the effects his country's past can have on its Khmer (Cambodian) people. He told me of how his grandmother and grandfather were both taken to the Killing Fields (Cheung Eik) - the mass gravesite where 9,000 men, women and children were executed - when Pol Pot was in control. While his grandfather was murdered there, his grandmother was buried alive but fortunately when the soldiers left the fields that night she was able to crawl out and escape the genocide camp."

So where in the world did KimSan find God in the midst of all this tragedy?

While the Khmer Rouge was still in power and the Khmer people were fleeing Cambodia, KimSan had an uncle that had found his way to the refugee camps on the Thai border where Christians were giving aid and sharing the gospel. Years later, after the Khmer Rouge was dismantled, his uncle returned to Cambodia to share Christ with his family and friends, and KimSan now shares his uncle's heart for the Khmer people. He says,

"It's amazing how I have grown to know God more and more. Even though I didn't have parents (both died when he was little) God always took care of me. He directed my every step! My vision is to see people changed through Jesus Christ; to see them praise and worship the ONE true God. I want to praise God for all that he has given me."

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the people. For great is your love, reaching to the heaven; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heaven; let your glory be all over the earth. Psalm 57:7-11

KimSan now works with YWAM and the University of the Nations in Cambodia as a teams coordinator and translator. He asks that we pray for him in these ways:

Pray for the people of Cambodia, they are hungry for God.

Pray for my family, for God to provide food and help.

Pray for safe travels for me and for my support raising.

CAMBODIA

After a very long bus ride about 12 hours we have arrived in Cambodia. Today was orientation tomorrow is out and about learning about culture, history and people. Heading to the killing fields etc. Share more after I experience it.

At our next location we will be at least 2 hours away from the nearest city.

I am really excited to experience the life of the locals in this area.

We get to hang out with pigs, pump water, have bucket showers, no electricity, will do laundry by hand and some other really cool stuff I dont know about yet!

Our ministry destination we leave tuesday for is the following.........

Cambodian (Khmer) Christian Association & Khanch Romeas Children's Home

Located in Bovell, Cambodia (in Battambang province)

Cambodian (Khmer) Christian Association is a church led by a young Khmer Pastor, Vanny. His church is located in the village area of Battambang province, and his call is to reach the rural areas and peoples with the message of Jesus. This church hosts monthly pastor/leader seminars that equip Christian leaders with tools for evangelism, discipleship, and mentoring their church bodies. God has helped them to plant more than 30 house/cell churches in the surrounding villages.

We will be helping teach English, the bible, music and other fun things in the orphanage when the kids are home. While the kids are at school, we will be able to go farther out into the villages to be with and meet villagers and do some evangelism. And who knows what else, expect the unexpected!!

Praise the Lord for all the prayers He is answering and for Who He is.

Please join me in praying for the people of Cambodia.

Beautiful Bangkok!

Beautiful day and night are the precious thai girls who are so ready to hear about Jesus and so receptive. The harvest is ready!!! Yesterday I spent some time praying and asking the Lord for direction. It was an amazing seeing the beauty and watching and hearing from some of the June team about what the Lord is doing. Here are a few pictures more on the way.

June team is working with the well and doing outreach to the bar girls at night.

This is more information from Julie, June World Racer. "Our time in Thailand will be spent working in Bangkok with a ministry called The Well. The Well was started by Jim and Judy Larson, an amazing couple from the Chicago area. The Well's mission is to love Thai bar girls and sex workers in the same way that Jesus loved the woman at the well (John 4) and others like her. The hope is that the woman will see and experience their true value as God's daughter. We want to introduce her, her family and her village to the love of Christ. The Well provides discipleship, counseling, training, education, job development and other services to women and their family members. Jesus showed the woman at the well her true value. He spoke to her with respect, and offered freedom from the inner emptiness that drove and was fed by her behavior. She was so excited to meet someone who brought her past to light in an affirming, non-condemning way that she went and told her whole village about him. That is the vision of the Well." "Jenny Brown and I went to one of the bars in the area. (Bars are places for men to meet bar-girls/prostitutes). And we met Kai. She sat at a table by herself. Nervously fixing her hair and make-up, while we sat with a few other bar girls at the next table chatting. She made her way over and offered a little information about herself. It was her 3rd day at the bar, she had a daughter, she lived in the country, came to the bar to make money. She gradually became more comfortable, but could barely look us in the eyes. Jenny and I sat and talked with the girls for a while and then said our goodbyes. That night we came home and prayed for the girls. But specifically for Kai, we prayed that God would take her out of there. Just a simple prayer.

The next few nights we circuluated to different bars, making friends with girls from different bars in the area. And just last night, I went back to the same area. I was sitting at the bar nextdoor to where Kai worked, scanning her bar to look for familiar faces. But couldn't make out faces very clearly. So I walked over and said hello to all the girls we had met earlier and realized that Kai wasn't there. "Where is Kai?", I asked. "She went home." Home? "Her home in Bangkok?" I asked. Prayer is so powerful. When we walk in what the Lord asks of us and move when He says move and sit when He says sit. All for His glory !! listen to His voice!!

After around 23ish hours of travelling in a plane. We arrived in Bangkok, last night! I am feeling really great, Praise God, it is all the prayer!

All of us are very excited to be here!

Today is recovery day. With a couple of meetings and learning our way around the area.

Tomorrow we have an orientation in the morning, than we head off for race day. I am not sure what race day all will look like let you know after who wins and what we had to do.

Wed. will be a full day of temple tours .

Thursday we all leave for our ministry locations!!!! Our teams location is 6 hrs away.

Please continue to pray for our teams and for the people of Thailand.

Many of you have heard about the plane crash in Phuket, Thailand. All of the racers are fine. Please lift up in prayer, the passengers of that flight, though.

Packages can be mailed to the September Racers while they are in Thailand. DO NOT send any valuables through the mail and clearly state a $0 value for the package. Note that it is a gift with no commercial value. This helps avoid taxes through customs. Packages must arrive no later than October 3rd - allow extra time than what the postal service tells you. Be sure to include their name on the package.

For all you wonderful gardner's I am not one, but would love to learn more about it. These are just some thoughts I have been tossing around!!

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. - Eph 6:12

I want to challenge you all. To fix your eyes on Jesus and to stop the enemy from having any kind of victory over you because the truth is the battle is already won by the blood of Jesus. The enemy, full of schemes, tries to stop you from being all that the Lord made you to be. The devil wants to bring you with him to the grave, don't let him. Do this to the enemy, TELL him to Go to Hell, where he belongs and replace the lies with truth. The enemy attacks your mind, twists and manipulates words. Lies Lies and Lies to you. Claim all authority in Christ and know truth. Know the enemy has no power unless you give it to him. Christ has already won, it is not your fight. The enemy loves to see us attack eachother. Stomp, kick and tell each other to go to hell. he loves that we believe that our fight is against eachother and trying to stomp on eachother to get no where. Revenge is one of his favorite words. And hate is what he represents.

Really the enemy has no strength, unless unoticed. He is a weed that is ignored.

Weeds entangling a flower. If the weeds were noticed for what they are, would have been easily removed. A gardner knows what to pull and what to leave in the soil to florish and bear fruit, as much as, the gardner knows when to remove a weed that prevents the true beauty to be seen.

The Lord is the creator of all. He teachs us to hear His voice that speaks the way, the truth and the life. We must hold on to the truth that powerfully speaks to the lies. As the enemy comes to kill, steal and destory, We must know and look to the truth that has victory over all lies, learning His truth and listen for His voice. The lies attack us and stop us from growing and experiencing life ,that is designed and planned by the Lord, that bears fruit in His name. As I think about commUNITY, I know that the enemy hates it. There is power in number, when eyes are fixed on Christ the power is His. The devil wants you to feel isolated, undeserving of love, powerless and what can I do? I am only one. When we look to the Lord we are a garden that grows more and more abundant producing more and more fruit.

I encourage you to embarce the diversity in the garden, to appreciate the different fruits and vegtables. The uniquenss that is in the body of Christ.

Shine a light on the darkness and see what is behind it.

Do not be deceived

Know Jesus and believe!!

You give us victory over our enemies, You put our adversaries to shame. - Ps 44:7

Praise the Lord for all the good work He is doing with in all of us and through all of us. Training camp has been more than an experience, a preparation to go out and be sent out in the name of Jesus. Jeremiah 2 .

In a day and a bit we will be on a plane to Thailand!!!!! We have found out our ministry to start out:-)

BURIRAM ( NE Thailand)

"Tree of Life" Childrens Home - Buriram
Tree of Life Orphanage is located in the town of Buriram, in the Isaan region of Northeast Thailand. We have the opportunity to help in the orphanage in such areas as childcare, gardening, painting and facilities maintenance. We also have the opportunity to participate in teaching and directing children's activities - story-telling, book readings, songs, dance, games, painting, coloring and drawing, tutoring in English and mathematics! We may also be visiting local primary schools, secondary schools and even Buriram Rajabhat University...where we can be involved in interacting with students, hosting English camps and so much more! There are also opportunities to minister at Hope of Buriram Church, Buriram Community Church and other local churches in neighboring provinces. Opportunities with these churches involve visiting villages, witnessing, sharing, distributing tracts and shoes, prayer walking, praying for the sick...you name it, its available! No matter what church we may visit, We may be sharing testimonies, preach the message and even helping out with the worship service!

Thank you for all your prayers.
I am in Atlanta, Georgia. The past week I was working with four other september racers on Serve team. We all came early to serve some fellow racers and the january racers as well as others who are going out to,england,india etc. The serve team basically helps in anyway that needs to be done around camp from driving to the airport, helping cook, cleaning and welcoming etc. It has been a blessing to serve along the staff, so that the racers can concentrate on training. I love that Jesus models how to be a servant and the power in humbling ourselves.
I am now involved in all the training and the whole september team arrived on the 6th. We have been very busy and are being poured into by amazing people of God.The serve team has become all of us living in community serving each other, what a beautiful thing. I am really excited about the team of World racers who are persuing God and going into this with a teachable spirit. We leave next week for THAILAND 15 of Sept. Wow!

Please be praying for...
-Unity amoung the team as a whole all of us and our smaller groups.
-Pray for my computer the wirless card is having issues etc.
-God to move in powerful ways---And He is I will be writing some on a blog soon.
-Praise God for safe travel and that this will continue
-Praise God I am not sick and health on the whole team is well and continue this pray please.
-Praise God for support I am close to my goal about couple thousand more.
pray that we get our strength in the Lord, on our own we can do nothing.
